Description: A series of eight structured sessions based on Betty Edwards’ renowned book, ‘Drawing on the Right Side of the Brain’.   Each session will focus on hands-on timed exercises designed to enhance your artistic skills and deepen your understanding of visual perception. Requirements: To make the most of your experience, please come prepared with your own copy of the book and complete specified pre-readings before each session as our time will be spent working on timed exercises. Introducing the tutor, Mavis Paskulich: Mavis was born in Nottingham England in the mid 1940’s moving to Perth Australia in 1969.  For the last 20 years she has lived within the Kalamunda shire.  On retirement she became involved with the Kalamunda Learning Centre, both as a participant (silk painting) and tutor (art group).
“Exploration and experimentation describe my approach. I paint with watercolours, paint on silk, create with fibres and textiles and paint digitally.”
Mavis is a very well-qualified and experienced artist and the many members she has assisted on their artistic journeys are grateful for her guidance and encouragement.
