Donating

Kalamunda Community Learning Centre is a not-for-profit organisation. All the money raised through membership and class fees goes back into the organisation to pay for the room hire, running the website, paying for an office manager and creche leaders. Kalamunda Community Learning Centre does not receive regular funding from state or local government. Additional funds raised through donations will assist in buying new assets like computers and devices for office staff, signage to promote the Centre at events to attract more members and purchasing audio equipment to assist tutors.

There are lots of ways you can help…

Make a tax deductible donation

Kalamunda Community Learning Centre is now able to receive donations that are tax deductible to the donating person or organisation through our membership with our national peak body, the Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centres Association (ANHCA). Their national representation strength provides us with a range of benefits. One major benefit of this membership is being able to register and complete a process that enables us to come under the Deductible Gift Recipient tax status achieved by our peak body.

If as an individual, or a business, would like to make a tax deductible donation, please complete this online donation form. Through our affliation with Australian Neighbourhood Houses and Centre Association (ANCHA), your donation is paid directly to ANHCA’s bank account in order to receive a tax-deductible receipt and then your donation is transferred to us. More information about how this process works can be found by clicking here. If you need assistance with filling in the online donation form, please contact us and we will be happy to assist.

Collecting Cash for Containers

You can help Kalamunda Community Learning Centre raise money while saving 10c containers from landfill. To donate your cans to the Centre, simply use our member number C11044919 when you return your containers at a refund point, or you can drop your containers into the special collection bin at the Centre.

Giving more time

A vital aspect of the smooth running of Kalamunda Community Learning Centre is the commitment of all members, who attend any courses as full-time class members, to volunteer in some way at the Centre. These tasks are vital in the day-to-day operation of the Centre and help us to keep our course costs so low. Members need only volunteer for one task irrespective of how many courses they are enrolled in.

However, there are many members who donate a little bit more of their time to assist with some of the bigger tasks. This could be as a role as Secretary or Treasurer or the Workgroup Leader for Open day or the Special Talks or even editing this website!  A list of current vacancies can be found by clicking here.
