A vital aspect of the smooth running of Kalamunda Community Learning Centre is the commitment of all members, who attend any courses as full-time class members, to volunteer in some way at the Centre. These tasks are vital in the day-to-day operation of the Centre and help us to keep our course costs so low. Members need only volunteer for one task irrespective of how many courses they are enrolled in.

However, to enable the Centre to run at all we need some members to come forward and assist with some of the bigger tasks. This could be as a role as Secretary or Treasurer or the Workgroup Leader for Open Day or the Special Talks or even editing this website!  Please see a list of our current vacancies below…

Current vacancies

Programmer:
Liaises with tutors, allocates rooms, creates class timetable, liaises with the enrolment team, attends Executive Committee Meetings (fortnightly) and books rooms with the City of Kalamunda. This position needs to be filled for nomination and appointment at the June 2024 AGM.

Secretary:
Attends fortnightly Executive Meetings, take and write minutes and monitors the KCLC email inbox. This position needs to be filled for nomination and appointment at the June 2024 AGM.

Coordinator:
Coordinating the day-to-day running of KCLC.

Centre Presents Special Talks Facilitator:
Sourcing talks and introducing the presenter when required.

Centre Presents Special Talks Workgroup Leader:
Coordinating workgroups setting up the hall and refreshments for Special Talks.

Open Day Coordinator:
Coordinating the running of the Centre’s Open Day. This could be a shared position. Open Day is a huge part of who we are at KCLC!! A rewarding role. Unfortunately this event will not be able to go ahead if we can’t fill this position for 2024.

General Meetings Workgroup Leader:
Coordinating workgroups setting up the hall and refreshments for General Meetings.

Clean Up Day Workgroup Leader:
Coordinating workgroups in cleaning duties.
