This privacy policy sets out how the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre uses and protects any information that you give the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre when you use this website.

The Kalamunda Community Learning Centre is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected. Should we ask you to provide certain information by which you can be identified when using this website, then you can be assured that it will only be used in accordance with this privacy statement.

The Kalamunda Community Learning Centre may change this policy from time to time by updating this page. You should check this page from time to time to ensure that you are happy with any changes. This policy is effective from 20th July, 2017.

What we collect

We may collect the following information:

  • Name
  • contact information, including email address
  • emergency contact information
  • whether you are a new member or a tutor
  • other information you may provide in member surveys

What we do with the information we gather

We require this information to create a membership list, class rolls and in particular for the following reasons:

  • Internal record keeping.
  • We will send you our fortnightly newsletter and may periodically send promotional emails about new courses, or surveys using the email address which you have provided. You can unsubscribe from these at any time.
  • From time to time, we may also use your information to contact you. We may contact you by email or phone.
  • We may use the information to customise the website according to your interests.
  • We will never sell your information.

Security

We are committed to ensuring that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect online.

We have an SSL certificate and use SecurePay to process online payments.

With SecurePay, we never have any access to full customer credit card information or data.

How we use cookies

We use cookies to provide certain features on our website, such as tracking who is logged on for performing the online enrolment and mailing list updates.  Cookies help us provide you with a better website.

A cookie in no way gives us access to your computer or any information about you, other than the data you choose to share with us

Controlling your personal information

We will not sell, distribute or lease your personal information to third parties unless we have your permission or are required by law. We may use your personal information to send you promotional information about third parties which we think you may find interesting if you tell us that you wish this to happen.

You may request details of personal information which we hold about you under the Data Protection Act 1998. If you would like a copy of the information held on you please write to us via our email address.

You are in control of updating your personal details that we collect, by logging into your account.

Refund Policy

You are entitled to a full refund of the course cost (or reinstatement of your voucher if you used one) if either of the following occurs within 2 (two) weeks of the Semester starting:

  • If not enough participants enrol and the tutor and/or Kalamunda Community Learning Centre decides to cancel the course;
  • you change your mind and decide not to continue with the course.

The Kalamunda Community Learning Centre will consider giving a refund, or a voucher to the value of the course, under extenuating circumstances after the 2 weeks has passed.

To request a refund, please contact the Centre via email.

Enrolment Policy

When paying by bank direct deposit, the payment must be received by the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre by the close of enrolment week, Thursday at 2.00pm WST.  If payment is not received by then, your order will be cancelled and the placement(s) made available for somebody else to enrol.

When paying by cash or cheque, the payment must be received by the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre and you must have a receipt for the payment issued by the Kalamunda Community Learning Centre, by the close of enrolment week, Thursday at 2.00pm WST.  If payment is not received by then, your order will be cancelled and the placement(s) available for somebody else to enrol.

When paying via SecurePay, the enrolment is considered complete upon checkout.
