Description
Introducing the tutor, Mavis Paskulich: Mavis was born in Nottingham England in the mid 1940’s moving to Perth Australia in 1969. For the last 20 years she has lived within the Kalamunda shire. On retirement she became involved with the Kalamunda Learning Centre, both as a participant (silk painting) and tutor (art group).
“Exploration and experimentation describe my approach. I paint with watercolours, paint on silk, create with fibres and textiles and paint digitally.”
Mavis is a very well-qualified and experienced artist, for full details check out her website. Artist Bio – Water Colour Is Therapy (weebly.com)

I come to class full of ambition and usually end up chatting and learning from others! A wonderful class that encourages each other’s creativity.

We are a lively mix of artists ranging from beginners to experienced painters. Mavis Paskulich is our inspiring tutor, encouraging us with her gentle approach.
We choose our own medium whether it be watercolours, acrylics, charcoal, Aquarelles or graphite.
This Semester, Mavis demonstrated the subtleties of blending watercolours to paint plants from her garden. They included hydrangeas, persimmon Autumn leaves, Lunaria seed pods, vine leaves and garlic.
This is a highlight of my week and I value the friendship and enthusiasm of this group.
