Learn to Sew – Extension (term 4) – Semester 2

Description: This course is open to those members who attended ‘Learn to Sew’ in term 3. Class members will decide which projects they will all follow together and then purchase the appropriate patterns and fabrics.
Requirements: Sewing machines will be provided. A $10 levy is included in the course fee to cover some costs.

Day & time: Wednesday 9.45 – 11.45 am

Semester two commenced on the 4th of August. We are now accepting late enrolments for courses that have vacancies, but full course fees will be charged. Please come into the Centre to enrol.
From the 15th September we will accept late enrolments at a reduced fee for a term 4 commencement (13th October) in courses with vacancies.

Description

Introducing the tutor, Suzie Kemner: Suzie was born in The Netherlands but moved to Perth with her family aged nine. She was selected for the Special Art Programme at Kalamunda Senior High School, and went on to study Graphic Design and Multimedia at TAFE in Northbridge. Suzie decided to move to London when she was 20, and it was there that she learnt to sew, at the London College of Fashion. She has since taught sewing at Sew Over It in London, as well as in the haberdashery department of John Lewis department store on Oxford St. Suzie moved back to Perth at the end of 2019 and works as a freelance illustrator for sewing and craft books, as well as creating her own fabric designs and products under the name Suzie London.
