1 review for Kalamunda Hikers (term 2) – Semester 1

We have begun the term with two fabulous hikes, led by our lovely leader, Deb Stone. First week was an initiation hike in Jorgensen park with an additional trail to test our mettle, involving some quite challenging slopes. Thankfully we all passed with flying colours and Deb assured us we would not have to tackle anything else like it during this semester. Our group of old and new friends had a nice time getting to know one another whilst enjoying the views across the forested valleys and in the park
Our second hike was in the Carmel and Pickering Brook area. This trail led through sylvan glades and beside the orchards. The Autumn weather has been perfect for our hikes. We have felt the benefit of healthy exercise in fresh air and it has been very pleasant to enjoy the beautiful scenery we are lucky to have so close to our “home in the forest”.
