Introducing the tutor: Linda has capably and enthusiastically led the Cryptic Crosswords Advanced class since 2019. She loves sharing good times with the class as they discuss, criticise, agree and disagree, all in good humour. All the class members enjoy the great company and the wonderful morning teas.

As a newcomer to the advanced cryptic crossword class, I attended the first group with some trepidation (fear wandering pair not tied). Being inexperienced, I thought I might not be good enough. I needn’t have worried. This class is a non-competitive group effort, skilfully guided by Linda Jones and always a riot of fun.
A knowledge of the principles is all that’s needed to enjoy a great social event, increase vocabulary and have lots of laughs. It’s an opportunity to increase knowledge of science, history, geography, literature and more. The delicious morning teas provided by group members in turn are a highlight.
Thanks Linda, for all your hard work and for making this class so much fun.
