Drawing (General and Life) – Semester 1

Description: This course is designed for those with some experience in drawing. It consists of alternating life drawing sessions (with a model) and general drawing classes where we will concentrate on the skills needed for the life classes. We will cover all aspects of drawing such as line, tone, form, composition, and perspective, as well as the specific aspects of the figure. Students are encouraged to use a variety of mediums and will receive individual tutoring.
Requirements: A variety of mediums and papers will be required. See Further Details for a suggested list.

Description

The fee for this course includes a $40 levy for the payment of the life models.

Requirements: A variety of mediums: pencil (2B and softer), conte crayon, charcoal will be used, and students might try working sometimes on grey paper as well as white. For the life classes I recommend working at A2 size on upright easels so you may wish to bring your own drawing board . For the general drawing classes tables will be sufficient.
