Description: Salsa and Bachata are the most danced styles in the world. They are about fun. No one cares if you get it wrong. These dances come from community and family origins. They are easy to learn and one or two lessons are all it takes to learn the basic steps. You will learn of the origins of these dances, the different styles danced and how they are linked, and a bit about how to listen to and what is happening in the music. Your fitness level will definitely improve, as will your coordination and balance. In Perth, there is dancing most nights of the week and by the end of this course, you will be well equipped to join in.

Requirements: Shoes; low heels and smooth soles are best. You can put gaffer tape on the sole of a shoe to make it slippery.
Please Note: Casual members must purchase Casual Tickets from the reception desk and present these to the class secretary at the beginning of each session.

Tutor: Stephen Keeling
